
Some say the increase is because of the recession and the difficult job market. Others say it's a great career move for many women who are looking for entrepreneurship in their professional lives.
Bank of America released some interesting statistics of a survey they recently conducted. Seventy percent of the women owners expect their revenue to rise over the next year, compared to 66 percent of men. Fifty-six percent of women plan to hire in the next year, compared to 50 percent of men. And 68 percent of women plan to expand their companies, compared to only 63 percent of men. I like those women-owned percentages.
